Bog Road one-vehicle crash remains under investigation
ROCKLAND — Two people were transported to a local hospital Sunday morning after the vehicle they were riding in landed on its side.
Just before 6:30 a.m., May 3, Rockland police, fire, and EMS responded to a one-vehicle crash near 162 Bog Road, in Rockland. One of the two occupants was able to self-extricate prior to the arrival of firefighters and EMS. The other occupant soon self-extricated, by following directions verbalized by the responders on scene.
According to police, the operator of the vehicle was Jossilyn Ellis, 35, of Rockland. The passenger was Steven Ward, 44, from Warren.
While on scene, police began their investigation into the cause of the crash, though tire marks of the northbound vehicle were visible in the southbound shoulder before the vehicle got caught up in some Central Maine Power guidewires.
By 7:21 a.m., the vehicle had been removed, and all responders were clear of the scene, leaving CMP to deal with the guidewires.
As of May 5, the cause of the accident remained under investigation.
