BELFAST — Angelo V. Alpi, 88 of Belfast, passed away on Sept. 16, 2012, in Belfast. He is survived by his wife, Alice; eight children; 18 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and a younger brother, Edward. He had been a Maine resident since 1990 and was a World War II veteran.

Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday, Sept. 20 from 5 to 7 p.m.at Riposta Funeral Home, 182 Waldo Ave. in Belfast. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, Sept. 21 at 10 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Church on Court Street in Belfast. Interment to follow at 1 p.m. at Maine Veterans Cemetery, 163 Mt. Vernon Road in Augusta.
