Knox County Criminal Docket closed cases
ROCKLAND — The following cases were closed in Knox County Unified Court from Aug. 12-19.
Hannah Ames, 20, of Vinalhaven, domestic violence assault on Vinalhaven June 14, 2018, dismissed; disorderly conduct, offensive words, gestures on Vinalhaven June 14, 2018, $250 fine.
Christina Anthony, 33, of Vinalhaven, assault on May 22, 2019, dismissed; disorderly conduct, offensive words, gestures on Vinalhaven May 22, 2019, $300 fine.
Jennifer L. Beverage, 34, of Rockland, operating vehicle without license in Rockland June 12, 2019, $100 fine.
Brian Burch, 26, of Rockland, trafficking in prison contraband in Rockland May 10, 2019, six months in jail; assault on an officer in Rockland May 10, 2019, nine months in jail; criminal mischief, stealing drugs, burglary, all occurring in Rockland April 20, 2019, guilty on all three counts; theft by unauthorized use of property, priors, in Rockland May 4, 2019, nine days in jail, restitution $500; operating under the influence (alcohol)-no test in Rockland May 4, 2019, $500 fine, 30 days in jail, license suspended 150 days.
The charge of theft was for stolen medications stemming from a break-in at the South School in Rockland, April 20.
Just after midnight, May 4, Thomaston Police responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle in Thomaston. Their investigation led to the arrest of Brian Burch for a traffic offence (OUI).
Burch had an active warrant, issued by the Rockland Police Department, for break-in at the South School in Rockland where students’ medications were stolen.
He was booked on the warrants out of Rockland, as well as a criminal charge by the Thomaston Police Department. During this same time, the vehicle Burch had been driving was reported stolen from the vicinity of a motel in Rockland.
Subsequently, Burch was also charged with theft of a motor vehicle.
All items stolen from the school were recovered the night of the break-in.

Cedric P. Delano, 62, of Warren, domestic violence assault in Friendship March 16, 2019, dismissed.
Christine Demeritt, 53, of Thomaston, attaching false plates in Thomaston Oct. 28, 2018, dismissed; failure to register vehicle in Thomaston Oct. 28, 2018, dismissed.

Gage Gagnon, 21, of Belfast, operating while license suspended or revoked in Camden June 21, 2019, $500 fine; failure to give correct name, address, or date of birth in Camden June 21, 2019, $250 fine.
Gregg T. Grenert, 71, of Rockport, operating vehicle without license in Rockport July 11, 2019, $150 fine.
Steven M. Heller, 28, of Rockland, operating under the influence (drugs or combination), in Rockland May 10, 2019, $500 fine, 48 hours in jail, license suspended 150 days; violating condition of release in Rockland May 10, 2019, 48 hours in jail; unlawful possession of scheduled drug in Rockland May 10, 2019, $400 fine.

Troy Jackson, 52, of Appleton, operating under the influence (alcohol), one prior, in Appleton June 2, 2019, $1,000 fine, 364 days in jail with all but 30 days suspended, probation one year, license suspended three years; reckless operation of ATV in Appleton June 12, 2019, dismissed; operating vehicle without license-conditions/restrictions in Appleton June 12, 2019, 30 days in jail.
Joseph Lane, 35, of Damariscotta, operating under the influence (drugs or combination) in Warren Oct. 15, 2018, $500 fine, 10 days in jail, license suspended 150 days.
Seth Lawler, 32, of Waldoboro, operating while license suspended or revoked in Hope May 20, 2019, $250 fine.
Brandon M. Luzzi, 62, of Rockland, terrorizing in Rockland May 29, 2018, dismissed.
The state and the attorney for Luzzi, who was charged last year with terrorizing, which caused a lockdown in Rockland area schools (Regional School Unit 13), reached an deferred disposition agreement Jan. 16 where the charge will be dismissed.
Luzzi appeared in Knox County Unified Court in Jan. before Justice Bruce Mallonee. He pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge of terrorizing. The initial felony charge of terrorizing was dismissed.
The deferred disposition agreement stipulates that the terrorizing misdemeanor charge will be dropped in six months if Luzzi continues with his mental health treatment and complies with conditions, including taking all his prescribed medications and not possessing any firearms.
Luzzi continued with his mental health treatment and met the conditions of the agreement.
Eliza D. Magro, 37, of Appleton, operating under the influence (alcohol) in Camden June 3, 2019, $500 fine, license suspended 150 days; operating vehicle without a license, dismissed.
Derrick McDuffy, 29, of Rockland, unlawful trafficking in scheduled drugs in Warren April 21, 2018, dismissed; trafficking in prison contraband in Warren April 21, 2018, six months in jail.
Jeremey Miller, 43, of Waldoboro, attaching false plates in Rockland June 12, 2019, $150 fine.
Douglas G. Mills, 68, of Rockland, possessing sexual explicit material of minor under 12 in Rockland Jan. 22, 2019, three years in jail with all but five months suspended, probation two years.
Mills was arrested June 19 by agents with the State Police Computer Crimes Unit and Rockland Police. He had been under investigation since January.
His home at 41 Pleasant Street in Rockland was searched in May. An analysis of Mill’s electronic equipment revealed images of child pornography, according to a news release. He was charged with possession of sexually explicit material.
Mills has remained at the Knox County Jail since he was arrested in June.
The probation division of the Maine Department of Corrections was also involved in the investigation.
