Islesboro police beat
ISLESBORO — The Islesboro Police Department reported the following activity, March 11-17, 2013. An arrest or summons does not imply guilt.
March 14
• Senior Officer Fred Porter conducted a radar detail in the vicinit of the town office on Main Road and no violations were reported. The Islesboro Police Department would like to remind drivers the speed limit in that area is 25 mph.
• Porter conducted a radar detail on Main and Pendleton Point roads, where two warnings were issued.
• Porter conducted house checks on Pendleton Point Road and Ellis Lane and everything was found to be secure.
March 15
• Officer Nickolas Von Husen received a theft complaint on Main Road that turned out to be unfounded.
March 16
• Von Husen responded to an agency assist reqeust from Islesboro EMS on Main Road.
• Von Husen responded to an animal problem complaint on Main Road. The incident was investigated and there were no violations found.
• Von Husen conducted radar details on Main Road and made no stops for violations.
• Von Husen conducted business check details on Main Road, Alumni Drive and Ferry Road and everything was found to be secure.
March 17
• Von Husen conducted a radar detail on Main Road, where one warning was given for speeding and one was given for failure to stop at a stop sign.
• Von Husen conducted property watch details on Trim Lane and Hewes Point Road.
