BELFAST — The Waldo County Sheriff’s Office reported the following activity Sept. 25 - Oct. 4. An arrest or summons does not imply guilt.

Sept. 25

Deputy David Wight responded to the scene of a deer v. vehicle accident on Bangor Road in Stockton Springs. The vehicle sustained functional damage and the driver was uninjured. 

Sept. 29

Alice Haines, 63, of Auburn, was issued a summons for speeding 49 mph in a 3 mph zone on Route 1A in Winterport.

Leon Rancourt, 51, of Winterport, was issued summonses for assault and criminal threatening with a dangerous weapon on Oak Hill Road in Swanville. 

Sept. 30

Steven Parker, 55, of Winterport, was arrested for operating under the influence and operating without a license on Loggin Road in Frankfort. 

Oct. 1

Christopher M.J. Cherry, 21, of Swanville, was issued a summons for an inspection sticker violation on Route 141 in Swanville. 

Oct. 2

Jeremiah Chauvin, 40, of Knox, was arrested for operating without a license and operating after suspension on Frye Mountain Road in Knox. Chauvin was also charged with aggravated criminal trespass, burglary of a motor vehicle, and unauthorized use of property on Lang Hill Street in Brooks.

Deputy Cassandra McDonald responded to the scene of a single-vehicle accident on Albion Road in Unity where an operator struck a Canada goose crossing the road. The vehicle sustained minor damage and the driver and passenger were uninjured.
