CAMDEN — A live of strong thunderstorms may affect the Midcoast this afternoon, with gusty winds and possible hail.

According to the National Weather Service, at 11:33 a.m. radar indicated strong thunderstorms were located along a line extending from near Bucksport to near Hiram. Movement was east, southeast at 40 mph. These storms will move out over the coastal waters with strong wind gusts early this afternoon.

Wind gusts up to 50 mph and dime size hail are possible with these storms.

Locations affected include Portland, Lewiston, South Portland, Brunswick, Westbrook, Bath, Rockland, Belfast, Gardiner, Camden, Damariscotta, Lincolnville, Naples, Searsport, Topsham, Wiscasset, Cumberland, Gorham, Falmouth and Cape Elizabeth.
