ROCKPORT — Rockport police reported the following activity July 12-31. An arrest or summons does not imply guilt. A person charged with a crime is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.

July 12 (late entry)

Shawn J. Lachance, 43, of Waldoboro, was issued a summons by Officer Chris Taylor for failure to obtain license within 30 days of residence, operating without a license.

July 18

Carla Jo Kaler, 57, of Rockport, was charged by Officer Tony Del Vecchio for failure to give notice of accident by quickest means, leaving the scene of an accident, violating conditions of release.

July 20

Michael Curtis, 24, of Belmont, was issued a summons by Sgt. Jim Moore for speeding 63 mph in a 40 mph zone.

July 21

Gavin L. Simpson, 20, of Brooks, was issued a summons by Officer Jacob Powers for speeding 50 mph in a 35 mph zone.

July 23

Susan St. John, 74, of Owls Head, was issued a summons by Moore for speeding 50 mph in a 30 mph zone.

Ronald Mole, 59, of Washington, was issued a summons by Moore for seatbelt violation.

Rein M. Green, 24, of Appleton, was issued a summons by Moore for inspection violation.

July 24

Bruce R. Kern, 26, of Jacksonville, Fla., was issued a summons by Del Vecchio for failure to stop at a stop sign.

July 25

Richard M. Anderson, 77, of Rockport, was issued a summons by Powers for failure to stop at a stop sign.

Nicholas Horovitz, 45, of Rockport, was issued a summons by Moore for seatbelt violation.

July 26

Scot Hanning, 62, of Rockport, was arrested by Taylor on a warrant and issued a summons for operating after suspension more than 150 days.

July 27

Russell Soper, 61, of Chelsea, was charged with by Moore with operating under the influence and issued a summons for  failure to stop at a red light.

Austin J. McDevitt, 22, of Belfast, was issued a summons by Taylor for insurance violation.

Sumir A. Mahonen, 18, of Rockland, was issued a summons by Taylor for failure to maintain control of a motor vehicle.

July 28

Bruce Evans, 39, of Belfast, was arrested by Moore on a warrant.

Ashley J. Bonin, 34, of Searsport, was issued a summons by Taylor for seatbelt violation with s child.

July 31

Carlton J. Spotswood, 36, of Gardiner, was issued a summons by Powers for speeding 45 mph in a 35 mph zone.
