ROCKLAND — A Waldoboro woman who was arrested in March 2017 by police for driving while intoxicated with two young children in the vehicle, was sentenced to seven days in jail.

Brandi Griffin, 31, was convicted of operating under the influence, violating a condition of release, unlawful possession of drugs and endangering the welfare of a child in Knox County Unified Court June 21.

Besides serving a concurrent sentence of seven days in jail for the charges, Griffin will pay a $500 fine and have her license suspended for 150 days.

On March 11, 2017, at 7:30 p.m., Knox County Sheriff’s Deputy Scott Redmun responded to a call from the Knox County Regional Communications Center regarding a woman who was possibly intoxicated while driving a vehicle in Warren heading toward Waldoboro, according to the police report.

Redmun was on patrol in the area and through communications with dispatch and the complainant, he was able to locate and stop the vehicle.

Police identified Griffin as the driver. 

Griffin was transported to the Knox County Jail, posted $1,000 cash bail and was released.
