Waldoboro Police beat: Stolen pickup truck, arrest warrants
WALDOBORO — Waldoboro police responded to 154 calls for service from June 5-12. Listed below are a few of the highlights. An arrest or summons does not apply guilt. A person charged with a crime is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
June 5
Officer Larry Hesseltine investigated an accident at the Glidden Street, Main Street intersection. Laurie Martin, 50, of Warren, was driving a 2012 Ford sedan. Mary Jean Reynolds, 59, of Waldoboro, was driving a 2002 Nissan sedan. Martin was traveling southbound, starting in traffic and had an obstructed view caused by a legally parked vehicle. She pulled out onto Main Street in the path of Reynolds, who was westbound following the roadway on Main Street. Injuries were reported for the passenger.
June 6
Fredrick Campbell, 33, of Friendship, was arrested by Hesseltine for aggravated assault and violation of conditional release.
Officer Thomas Bartunek is investigating a report from a citizen that someone opened some accounts in his name.
June 7
Theodore Poland, 50, of Nobleboro, was issued a summons by Hesseltine for uninspected motor vehicle and failure to show proof of insurance.
Hesseltine is investigating a report from a citizen of stolen antiques.
Sgt. Jamie Wilson is investigating a report from a citizen that she is receiving harassing text messages.
June 8
Heidi Resh, 37, of Belfast, was arrested by Bartunek on a warrant.
June 9
Kevin Whitehill, 35, of Warren, was arrested by Officer Jeffery Fuller on a warrant.
Fuller is investigating a report from a citizen of stolen campaign signs.
June 10
Fuller is investigating a report from a citizen of the theft of his Dodge pickup truck.
June 11
Donald Boyington, 45, of Waldoboro, was arrested by Fuller for domestic violence criminal threatening.
