Winter weather advisory reissued for the Midcoast
GRAY — The National Weather Service has again changed its forecast this weekend and issued a winter weather advisory for the Midcoast.
As of 3 p.m. Sunday, the advisory for snow remains in effect through midnight, with snow accumulations of 4 to 8 inches. The advisory extends up to Winterport and includes all of Knox and Waldo counties.
The snow will taper off and end Sunday night.
From Lincoln County south, a winter storm warning has been issued, also through midnight Sunday. Snow accumulations in southern and western Maine are now predicted to be 8 to 12 inches, with locally higher amounts possible.
Monday will begin cloudy, then gradually become mostly sunny with a high near 36 F and north winds of 8 to 10 mph.
