Waldoboro police beat
WALDOBORO – Waldoboro police reported the following activity, Oct 1-9. Waldoboro officers responded to 190 calls for service in this time period. Below are a few of the highlights. An arrest or summons does not imply guilt. A person charged with a crime is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
Oct. 2
Officer Sean Kozer is investigating the case of a second window at Miller School had with a hole cut in the glass.
Oct. 3
Officer William Bragg summonsed Daniel Mckechnie, 23, of Waldoboro, for undersized clams.
Officer Sean Kozer is investigating a complaint of harassment and a complaint of identity theft.
Oct. 4
Officer Thomas Hoepner summonsed a 16-year-old juvenile female for assault, and another 16-year-old juvenile female for assault, and then another 16-year-old juvenile female for assault.
Oct. 6
Officer Jeffery Fuller is investigating he theft of some flowers and someone painting over a sign.
Sergeant Jamie Wilson is investigating a report of harassing phone calls.
Sergeant Jamie Wilson investigated an accident that occured on Atlantic Highway at 6:23 p.m. According to the report, Rachel Benner, 64, of Orrs Island, was driving a 2006 Subaru southbound on Atlantic Highway. Pedestrian Craig Simmons, 49, of Waldoboro, was walking in the breakdown portion of the southbound lane. Pedestrian attempted to cross the roadway right as Benner was about to pass his location. Benner did not see Simmons until he struck the hood, the report said. Simmons was taken by ambulance to the hospital with unknown injuries.
Officer Jeremy Joslyn is investigating a report of harassment.

Officer Jeffery Fuller is investigating a report from Maritime Farms of a gas drive off.

Officer Jeffery Fuller is investigating a second report from Maritime Farms of a $50 gas drive off.
