Waldoboro Police beat: Harvesting clams without a license, vehicle losing control
WALDOBORO - Waldoboro police responded to 132 calls for service from April 6-13. Listed below are a few of the highlights. An arrest or summons does not apply guilt. A person charged with a crime is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
April 7
Officer Larry Hesseltine investigated an accident on the Atlantic Highway at 12:15 p.m. Agnes Bradstreet, 80, of Warren, was driving a 2003 Chevrolet sedan northbound. The vehicle went out of control, possibly due to a vehicle defect, turned into a snow bank and flipped over. The driver sustained injuries.
Officer William Bragg issued a summons to Shane Sykes, 26, of Bristol, for harvesting clams without a town license.
April 8
Officer John Lash issued a summons to Larry Smith, 45, of Waldoboro, for speed.
