Waldoboro Police beat: Accident, stolen money
WALDOBORO — Waldoboro police responded to 127 calls for service from Oct. 16-23. Listed below are a few of the highlights. An arrest or summons does not imply guilt. A person charged with a crime is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
Oct. 21
Officer Thomas Bartunek investigated an accident on the Wagner Bridge Road at 6:18 p.m. Sherry Dever, 50, of Waldoboro, was driving a 2017 Dodge sedan. Dever was traveling north on Wagner Bridge Road when an animal (type not identified) ran out in front of her and struck the passenger side of her vehicle, causing front end damage. No injuries were reported.
Sgt. Jamie Wilson is investigating a report from a citizen about $20 stolen from her purse.
