Teenagers charged in Rockland car theft
ROCKLAND — Rockland Police are reporting that a motor vehicle that was stolen early on the morning of July 13 from the State Street area was recovered approximately an hour and a half later, according to a news release on the department’s Facebook page.
Rockland Police charged 18-year-old Khyllie Cochran of Warren with theft and unauthorized use of property. Additionally, a juvenile was charged with unauthorized use of property.
Rockland Police are attempting to locate another suspect seen fleeing the area.
Additional charges are expected, police said.
Rockland Police took several other reports July 13 of unlocked vehicles that had been gone through during the overnight and/or early morning hours. These incidents are under investigation.
They want to remind citizens to lock their vehicles when unattended overnight and never leave your vehicle with the keys inside.
