ROCKPORT — Rockport police reported the following activity from Aug. 5-28.  An arrest or summons does not imply guilt. A person charged with a crime is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.

Aug. 8

Todd Preston, 32, of Rockland, was issued a summons by Officer Antonio Del Vecchio for speeding 16 miles over the speed limit.

Aug. 19

Alexander Gilman, 26, of Rockland, was issued a summons by Officer Celjeta Bixhaku for attaching false plates and failure to have insurance.

Aug. 21

Jacqueline Smollett, 37, no town listed, was arrested by Officer Travis Ford for operating after license revoked.

Michael Weaver, 54, of Camden, was arrested by Del Vecchio for operating under the influence.

Aug. 22

Colin Morse, 24, of Rockport, was arrested by Bixhaku for operating under the influence.

Aug. 24

Joseph Bacon, 21, of South China, was issued a summons by Ford for operating after suspension.
