Rockport implements online vehicle registration program
The Town of Rockport is participating in the Rapid Renewal program, the Maine Department of the Secretary of State's online service for the renewal of motor vehicle registrations.
Rapid Renewal is an e-commerce service allowing citizens to conduct business with municipal government and state government in one online transaction.
While municipal participation in Rapid Renewal is optional, the service has now grown to include 243 municipalities and approximately 1,650,881 transactions have been processed.
The Rapid Renewal service is currently offered by cities and towns from York to Aroostook County, with populations ranging from Glenwood Plantation's two citizens to more than 64,000 in Portland. Through Rapid Renewal, citizens are able to renew their vehicle registrations and pay their municipal excise taxes online, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Rapid Renewal may be accessed through https://www1.maine.gov/online/bmv/rapid-renewal/ or through Rockport’s website at https://www.town.rockport.me.us
Citizens who would like more information about the online services that are offered by Rockport are encouraged to contact Town Office at 207-236-9648.
