Rockland police officer promoted to patrol sergeant

ROCKLAND — Rockland Police announced the promotion of officer Daniel DuHamel to patrol sergeant in a news release July 23 on its Facebook page.
DuHamel began his career with the Rockland Police Department in early 2021.
DuHamel began his career in law enforcement in January 1995 in Illinois. He served seven years as a detective, 10 years as a patrol sergeant, and his final two years as a patrol lieutenant.
After retiring from his law enforcement job in Illinois, DuHamel worked for the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office in Beaufort, S.C. from June 2016 to December 2020. During his tour with Beaufort County, DuHamel spent his last three years working as a homicide detective for BCSO, with the last two years as a detective sergeant.
