APPLETON — West Appleton Road from Appleton Ridge Road to the Searsmont town line will be closed to through-traffic Monday, July 27 through Friday, August 7.

This closure is due to work to replace the Pettengill stream culvert on West Appleton Road, according to the Town of Appleton, in a news release. This will be the final phase of an 18 month project to replace the collapsing culvert.

“The town was successful in getting a $94,000 grant from the state for this work,” said the release.
