Marine Patrol investigates Port Clyde death

PORT CLYDE — Early in the morning just after 6 a.m., July 28, emergency response crews and the Maine Marine Patrol were called to the Port Clyde waterfront, where Good Samaritans had pulled a man from the water.
The Maine Marine Patrol has identified the man as John Crane, IV, 56, of Port Clyde.
EMS responders and others attempted to resuscitate him, but were unsuccessful.
The cause of death is being investigated by the Maine Medical Examiner’s Office and the Marine Patrol is investigating what happened.
