Lincolnville police beat
LINCOLNVILLE – Lincolnville police reported the following activity, Sept. 6-23. An arrest or summons does not imply guilt. A person charged with a crime is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
Sept. 6
Chief Ron Young conducted a radar detail on Hope Road at Lincolnville Central School. No violations were reported. He also:
Assisted a man with an injured finger. Young bandaged the man's hand and the man continued on to the hospital.
Responded to an alarm activation on Bott Lane, where he determined the residence secure and the complaint unfounded.
Responded to a public assist complaint on Harbor Hill Drive regarding preserving the peace. No further action was necessary.
Sept. 10-15
Chief Young is investigating the following:
A theft of cash at a Belfast Road location.
An iPod stolen from a parked vehicle at the intersection of Youngtown Road and Route 173.
An iPod and wallet stolen from a parked vehicle at Breezemere Park.
He also investigated a report of a stolen snowplow from a Youngtown Road residence but determined the complaint unfounded.
Sept. 17-18
Chief Young conducted radar details at Lincolnville Central School on Hope Road on Sept. 17 and 18. No violations were reported.
Sept. 18
Chief Young responded to a reported disturbance complaint on Pattison Road in regard to construction.
He also:
Responded to a reported complaint of suspicious activity complaint on Heal Road.
Responded to a public assist complaint on Ducktrap Road for disposal of unwanted ammunition.
Responded to a reported theft of property complaint on Youngtown Road. Miscellaneous items were reported to have been taken from an attached building. The incident is under investigation.
Sept. 19
Chief Young responded to a 911 disconnect on Martin Corner Road. He determined the call wad placed in error.
He also:
Conducted a radar detail on Moody Mountain Road. One motorist was warned for speed.
Responded to a theft and vandalism complaint to a boat which at had been docked on Pitcher Pond. The complaint is under investigation.
Conducted a radar detail on Hope Road at Lincolnville Central School. No violations were reported.
Responded to an accident on Atlantic Highway. Brian O'Connor, 52, of Brunswick, operating a 2011 Jeep Compass, was traveling north on Atlantic Highway and had slowed to turn into a driveway to turn around. Temple Brooks, 37, of Lincolnville, who was operating a 2003 Mini Cooper, was traveling south and was struck on the front driver's side by O'Connor's vehicle. Brooks was traveling with his two children. Young reported no injuries.
Sept. 20
Chief Young responded to a reported erratic vehicle complaint on Belfast Road. The area was checked and the vehicle was not located.
He also conducted a radar detail on Slab City and Belfast Roads. No violations were reported.
Sept. 21
Chief Young conducted a parade detail on Atlantic Highway for the Fall Festival, escorting the parade through Lincolnville Beach.
He responded to a reported disturbance complaint at Lincolnville Beach where a party was advised to turn town amplified music. They complied.
Sept. 23
Chief Young conducted a radar detail on Hope Road. No violations were reported.
