June T. MacNair, obituary
ROCKLAND — June Tracy MacNair, 82, formally of Camden and Portland, died peacefully March 6, 2013, at the Knox Center in Rockland, where she had resided for the past two years. Her daughter, Jo, and son, David, were with her on her final day.
June was born in Winchester, Mass., the daughter of Ervin Charles Tracy and Eldith Merrill Lewis Tracy. She is predeceased by her sister, Jean Thomas.
June was a respiratory therapist at Pen Bay Medical Center in Rockport and at Maine Medical Center in Portland, where she worked until her retirement.
Her main interest in her life was her genealogy. June was known to visit cemeteries across New England and Canada with her dear friend and cousin, Mary Coombs, for a grave rubbing or a visit to a church archive.
June is survived by her family, Roberta and John Gray of Holden, Jo MacNair and Ann Dupuis of Barrington, N.H., David and Annette MacNair of Camden; and her grandson, Sean MacNair and his fiancé, Racheal Veillette, of Portland.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, May 4, at 11 a.m. at Burpee, Carpenter & Hutchins Funeral Home, 110 Limerock St. in Rockland. Interment will follow at Sea View Cemetery on Russell Avenue in Rockport.
In lieu of flowers June has requested donations be made to Camp Sunshine, 35 Acadia Road, Casco, ME 04015.
