Drugs, murder and theft of potatoes
ROCKLAND — A Knox County grand jury handed down indictments against 36 individuals this week. There were no secret indictments and no no-bills.
Alan A. Adams, 43, of North Haven, was indicted for one count each of class B burglary, class C aggravated criminal trespass, class D terrorizing, class D criminal mischief and class E theft by unauthorized taking. Adams is accused of breaking into a North Haven residence June 8, damaging or destroying a door, threatening to commit violence against people inside and stealing potatoes. This is a Knox County Sherriff's Office case.
Nathan L. Ames, 34, of St. George, was indicted for class B burglary and class C theft of services. Ames is accused on entering a home in St. George Feb. 3 and not paying to use a phone. This is a Maine State Police case.
Allen Boody, 27, of Rockland, was indicted for class C unlawful possession of synthetic hallucinogenic drugs in Rockland Sept. 20. This is a Maine State Police case.
Samuel Dewayne Caison, 29, an inmate at Maine State Prison in Warren, was indicted for class A aggravated assault and class A robbery. Caison is accused of causing bodily injury with a dangerous weapon and using physical force to commit theft May 9. This is a Department of Corrections case.
Daniel Campbell, 26, of Friendship, was indicted for class C unlawful possession of marijuana. Campbell is accused of possessing more than a pound of the scheduled drug in Friendship Dec. 9, 2011. This is a Maine Drug Enforcement Agency case.
Fredrick A. Campbell, 28, of Friendship, was indicted for class B theft of lost, mislaid or mistakenly delivered property. Campbell is accused of theft of a firearm he knew was lost or mislaid by its owner between Feb. 13, 2011 and Dec. 9, 2011. This is a Maine State Police case.
Christopher Chaisson, 40, of Appleton, was indicted for class C illegal importation of scheduled drugs (cocaine), class D unlawful possession of scheduled drugs (Psilocybin), class B unlawful possession of scheduled drugs (cocaine in excess of 14 grams) and criminal forfeiture of a 2001 Toyota Highlander. Chaisson is accused of bringing the drugs into Washington, Maine, from another state or country April 12. This is a Maine Drug Enforcement Agency case.
Joshua N. Cottongim, 39, of Liberty, was indicted for class C eluding an officer, class E criminal speeding, class E driving to endanger and class E failure to stop for an officer. Cottongim is accused of driving at a reckless rate of speed that resulted in a high-speed chase in Thomaston April 30. He is accused of driving 81 mph, which exceeded the posted speed limit by 30 mph. This is a Thomaston Police Department case.
Danielle R. Demeritt, 27, of Rockland, was indicted for class C unlawful possession of scheduled drugs (Oxycodone) June 22 in Rockland. Demeritt was also indicted for class E violating conditions of release June22, when she was on pre-conviction bail. This is a Rockland Police Department case.
Jeffery H. Dorr Jr., 31, of Owls Head, was indicted for class C forgery, class C theft by unauthorized taking and class C theft of lost, mislaid or mistakenly delivered property. Between March 7 and March 12, Dorr is accused of endorsing a check valued at more than $1,000 and taking money belonging to Shaw Yacht Inc. This is a Thomaston Police Department case.
Janessa Fisk, 22, of North Adams, Mass., was indicted for trafficking in prison contraband, unlawful furnishing of schedule drugs (heroin) and unlawful possession of schedule drugs (heroin), all class C crimes. The charges against Fisk stem from a Maine Drug Enforcement Agency case at Maine State Prison in Warren July 7.
Courtney Fisk, 19, of Waldoboro, was indicted for class C acquiring drugs by deception and class C unlawful possession of drugs. Fisk is accused of acquiring and possessing Oxycodone in Rockland Aug. 15. This is a Maine Drug Enforcement Agency case.
Charles Harris, 47, of Rockland, was indicted for class A aggravated trafficking in schedule drugs (Adderall) in Rockland April 5 and class C aggravated trafficking in schedule drugs (marijuana) in Rockland April 4. This is a Maine Drug Enforcement Agency case.
Andrew J. Kierstead, 40, of Tenants Harbor, was indicted for murder in the Sept. 27 shooting death of Richard Mills at Mills' home in Cushing.
Brandon M. Klein, 28, of Washington, was indicted for class C domestic violence assault stemming from an incident in Hope July 9. This is a Knox County Sheriff's Office case.
Charles H. Johnson, 53, of Union, was indicted for class C trafficking in prison contraband (mirtazapine) at Knox County Jail in Rockland March 20. This is a Knox County Sheriff's Office case.
John Larrabee, 34, an inmate at Maine State Prison in Warren, was indicted for class C trafficking in prison contraband (Suboxone) Jan. 29 and class D unlawful possession of schedule drugs (Suboxone) Jan. 29. This is a Maine Drug Enforcement Agency case.
Gregory E. Leeman, 52, an inmate at Maine State Prison in Warren, was indicted for class A aggravated assault for injury an individual with a padlock July 28. This is a Department of Corrections case.
Nicole L. Lesnyk, 23, of Thomaston, was indicted for class B burglary, class C aggravated criminal trespassing, class D domestic violence assault, class E disorderly conduct and two counts of class D assault. Lesnyk is accused of entering a dwelling in Thomaston May 30 with the intent to commit assault, and then doing so. This is a Thomaston Police Department case.
Michael McLellan, 26, of Rockland, was indicted for Class C illegal importation of schedule drugs, class B unlawful trafficking in schedule drugs and class B unlawful possession of schedule drugs. McLellan is accused of transporting cocaine into Washington, Maine, from another state or country April 12 and possessing cocaine in excess of 14 grams. This is a Maine Drug Enforcement Agency case.
Earl E. Moore III, 42, an inmate at Maine State Prison in Warren, was indicted for class C trafficking in prison contraband (Suboxone) May 22, class D unlawful possession of schedule drugs (Suboxone) May 22, class C trafficking in prison contraband (Suboxone) April 2, and class D unlawful possession of schedule drugs (Suboxone) April 2. This is a Department of Corrections case.
Daniel E. Morse, 44, of Waldoboro, was indicted for class C trafficking in prison contraband. Morse is accused of conveying or attempting to convey Suboxone to a person in custody in Knox County Jail in Rockland Jan. 8. This is a Knox County Sheriff's case.
Jason Moulton, 30, an inmate at Maine State Prison in Warren, was indicted for class C trafficking in prison contraband in Warren July 7 and class C unlawful possession of schedule drugs (heroin) July 7. This is a Maine Drug Enforcement Agency case.
Nathaniel Kenneth Nightingale, 34, an inmate at Maine State Prison in Warren, was indicted for class C trafficking in prison contraband (Suboxone) March 2 and class D attempted trafficking in prison contraband (Suboxone) March 2. This is a Department of Corrections case.
Billy Woodrow Pinkham, 44, an inmate at Maine State Prison in Warren, was indicted for class C trafficking in prison contraband (bupropion, aka Wellbutrin) April 7. This is a Department of Corrections case.
Rachel Poore, 37, of Belfast, was indicted for class C trafficking in prison contraband Jan. 29 at Maine State Prison in Warren and class C unlawfully furnishing a scheduled drug (Suboxone) Jan. 29 in Warren. This is a Maine Drug Enforcement Agency case.
William Harold Poore, 39, an inmate at Maine State Prison in Warren, was indicted for class C trafficking in prison contraband (Suboxone) May 3 and class D unlawful possession of a scheduled drug (Suboxone) May 13. This is a Department of Corrections case.
Devin Ranquist, 26, of South Thomaston, was indicted for class C unlawful possession of scheduled drugs (Hydrocodone) May 24 in South Thomaston and class C unlawful possession of scheduled drugs (Oxycodone) May 24 in South Thomaston. This is a Maine Drug Enforcement Agency case.
Edward Rogers, 26, of Tenants Harbor, was indicted for class B aggravated trafficking in scheduled drugs (marijuana), class C unlawful possession of scheduled drugs (marijuana) and class D unlawful possession of scheduled drugs (hashish). Rogers is accused of trafficking and possessing more than one pound of marijuana and an unspecified amount of hashish July 11 in St. George. This is a Maine Drug Enforcement Agency case.
John J. Schmiz Jr., 32, of Warren, was indicted for class C aggravated criminal mischief. Schmiz is accused of damaging or destroying a motor vehicle window in Warren Sept. 4, 2011. This is a Knox County Sheriff's Office case.
Jonathan Norman Thibodeau, 29, an inmate at Maine State Prison, was indicted for class C trafficking in prison contraband (Suboxone) Feb. 3 and class D unlawful possession of scheduled drugs (Suboxone) Feb. 3 This is a Department of Corrections case.
Sherry L. Thurston, 42, of Owls Head, was indicted for class C aggravated criminal trespass, class D domestic violence assault and class D criminal mischief. Thurston is accused of trespassing at a residence in Rockland Feb. 24 and damaging or destroying a cellphone, glasses, a picture frame and other personal property of the victim. This is a Rockland Police Department case.
Duane Christopher Waterman, 36, an inmate at Maine State Prison, was indicted for class C trafficking in prison contraband (Suboxone) May 5 and class D unlawful possession of scheduled drugs (Suboxone) May 5. This is a Department of Corrections case.
Sean M. Williams, 34, an inmate at Maine State Prison, was indicted for class C trafficking in prison contraband (Suboxone) May 1 and class D unlawful possession of scheduled drugs (Suboxone) May 1. This is a Department of Corrections case.
Dennis Young, 55, of Cushing, was indicted for class C unlawfully furnishing scheduled drugs (methadone) Feb. 18 in Rockland, class C unlawful furnishing of scheduled drugs (oxycodone) Feb. 18 in Rockland, class D unlawful possession of scheduled drugs (methadone) Feb. 18 in Rockland, and class C unlawful possession of scheduled drugs (oxycodone) Feb. 18 in Rockland. This is a Maine Drug Enforcement Agency case.
Robert Young, 46, of Rockland, was indicted for class C aggravated trafficking in scheduled drugs (Valium) June 4 in Rockland and class A aggravated trafficking in scheduled drugs (hydrocodone) June 20 in Rockland. At the time of the alleged offenses, Young was on a school bus, or within 1,000 feet of a private or public elementary or secondary school or a safe zone. This is a Maine Drug Enforcement Agency case.
