Business news: Destination Wellness names new board members
CAMDEN — Destination Wellness Midcoast Maine (DWMM) announces the election of three new board members and its 2015 officers. The newly formed professional organization now has more than 150 members.
Their top priorities are connecting the public to resources, fostering the exchange of knowledge among members, and promoting health and wellness as a mainstay of life in Midcoast Maine. Ultimately, DWMM intends to have Midcoast Maine recognized nationwide for its health and wellness resources, according to a news release.
The new board members are Judi Valentine, doctorate/clinical nutrition specialist; Julie Pfeiffer, relationship counselor; and Linda Ziegler, R.N./co-director of The Picker Family Resource Center.
Re-elected for a second term were Barb MacDonald, N.D./Camden Whole Health and Alan Ross, M.D./The Maine Beehive.
"It is wonderful to be a part of such a rich community dedicated to health and wellness," said Deb Moskowitz, newly elected DWMM president, in a news release. "Now that our organizational structure has been formalized, we're ready to take a leading role in promoting the health-related resources available in our community and to help educate the public on the many paths to wellness."
