Appreciation event for Blastow’s ‘loyalty, dedication’ to be held Aug. 15

THOMASTON — An appreciation event to recognize Val Blastow’s 28 years of service as the Thomaston town manager will be held next month.
Blastow resigned in late May during a time of unrest within the town.
The event will be held Thursday, Aug. 15 at Thresher’s behind the Business Block from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. with light refreshments.
“Help us show how much we appreciate all he has done for the Town,” an event flyer read. “His loyalty, dedication and tenacity has been amazing through it all.”
