Obituary as written by the family:
Terri Leigh Frank, 58.
She died peacefully, January 2, 2026, surrounded by the Love of many of her Family and Friends at Sussman House, in Rockport, Maine.
Terri was born in Rockledge, Florida on July 17, 1967 where she was welcomed as the 5th child of John R and Betty (Keller) Frank.
Her birth was a Celebration for her four older siblings and our neighbors on Leewood Blouvard, becoming everyones little sister.
She attended Sabal Elementary and Johnson Jr High.
Terri enjoyed many summer trips to Islesboro, Maine, her mother's hometown to visit with her grandparents, Thel & Louise (Hatch) Keller.
It was during this time she fell in Love with the island and where we practically lived at Big Tree Beach, swimming, eating picnics of fluff-a-nutta sandwiches, chips & zyrex, roasting hotdogs, and where she made many lifelong friends and family connections.
In her later years , she loved sitting on the beach at Spragues, watching the Sunsets and spending time with whoever stopped by.
When Terri was12 years old our mother passed away and Terri came to live with her sister Karen & brother in law Paul, on island.
She continued her education at Islesboro Central School, where she graduated in the class of 1985.
She enjoyed telling how she graduated second in her class, getting all kinds of "Wow's ", then adding with laughter that there were only two in her class.
While, in school and after, Terri worked baby sitting, picking crabmeat, and working for Jack and Jackie Leach at Leach's Market.
When Terri moved back to Florida a year or two after graduation she proceeded to work for Path Foods, Richard's Paint Company & Defense Contractor DRS.
Terri bought & moved into our childhood home where she made a home for many who wouldn't have had one without her kindness.
Always thinking of others she would make up packets of essential items and hand them out to homeless people she would see and take them to shelters where they could be passed out to those in need.
Terri loved to cook & entertain and was the "Hub of Activity", bringing Family & Friends together.
She Loved to play pool as a past time & many enjoyed a game or two or seven while visiting at her home. She was an Avid Fan of her beloved Patriots Football Team. One highlight for her was attending a game at Gillette Stadium with her brother Bruce & nephew BJ.
Once moving back home to the island she found employment with a wonderful summer family whom she loved very much and cared for these past fifteen years.
Terri was a dedicated hard worker always going above and beyond no matter the task at hand.
She was an overcomer, having faced many challenges throughout her life with Faith. Courage, Strength and Humor.
Terri, Loved everyone, especially her Family and was very loved in return.
She was the Biggest fan of each of her nieces & nephews & their families,
( Lynsey, Brooke, BJ, Kenny, Nicole, Brian, Christopher, Ryan, Joel) and siblings,
John. (Kathy), Russell, (Bonnie), Bruce, ( Bonnie J.) Frank and sister, Karen, (Paul) Grindle.
She loved her closest friends and held them close in her heart. (Shelly, Sarah & Sandy, Diane & Ace, , Linda & Donnie, Rachael, Amy, Jenny, Wendy, Jess, Myra, Connie, Patti and Rita).
Terri was predeceased by her parents, grandparents and Precious nephew, Anthony Frank.
Terri had an Invincible Loving Spirit, a bit of stubborness and the Most Generous Heart. If you were Blessed to know Terri you were given a Treasured gift.
A graveside service is planned for Terri, on her Birthday, July 17, 2026 at 12:00 noon at Maple Grove Cemetery, Islesboro, Maine and we'll be at Sprague's Beach at sunset for a time of remembrance if you would like to stop by.
If you'd like to make a donation to an organization in her name we would suggest The Islesboro Ambulance Association & Islesboro Sporting Club.
