ISLESBORO — The National Weather Service is forecasting a significant snowstorm for Monday, February 23. To ensure crews can safely and effectively clear accumulated snow, a snow ban will be in effect at Grindle Point from Monday at 8:30 a.m. through Tuesday at 4:30 p.m.

Parking Restrictions During the Snow Ban

The following areas will be closed to parking:

•    Main parking lot

•    Center parking spaces (including no overnight parking)

•    Guardrail by the swamp (3rd line)

•    3rd line up around the corner on Ferry Road

There is already a substantial buildup of snow from previous storms. This temporary ban is necessary to allow full cleanup of all parking areas.

"Thank you for your cooperation as we work to maintain safe and accessible conditions," said the Town of Islesboro, in a news release.
