APPLETON — The Appleton Library is featuring works by local artist Eric Darling for the months of January and February.

"Eric's art is colorful, unique, and important," said the library, in a news release.

Darling creates art with a mission. He upcycles discarded rope from Maine's fishing industry to create vibrant works of art.

Twelve rope work pieces are on display at the library now.

Darling and his art have recently been featured on an episode of Maine Cabin Masters.

"Please visit the Appleton Library to see these creative and inspiring pieces!" said the library.
