    OWLS HEAD – Wayne H. Meserve, 69, died surrounded by his loving family following a brief illness, Tuesday, July 10, 2018 at Maine Medical Center in Portland.

    Wayne was the son of the late Howard and Norma Curtis Meserve, beloved husband of Marilyn Carter Meserve and brother to Carolyn Philbrook.

    BELFAST — Mary E. (Corbett) Bailey, a longtime resident of the Belfast area passed away peacefully at Waldo County General Hospital on Friday, July 6, 2018 due to complications from a heart condition.

    She was born in Augusta, Maine on October 26, 1939 the daughter of the late Earl J. Corbett and the late Louise Albert Corbett Palmer. Mary attended Crosby High School and worked for many years waitressing at local restaurants including Barbara's and Estes.

    ROCKLAND – Ruby Evelyn Benner Rawley, 83 went to heaven, Friday, June 29, 2018 with her family by her side. Born in Camden May 8, 1935, she was the daughter of Rosa Lillian Fogg and William Edward Benner. She was raised in Camden with her sisters Annie, Florence, and Lillian.

    Ruby married Alfred Edward Rawley on August 3, 1953 in Camden.

    Born at home in Tenants Harbor during a blizzard on December 14, 1950, Larry was the son of Linwood Everett and Flo Louise (Getchell) Small. Larry had two brothers, Leighton Small and Linwood Small and a sister, Lena Rogers.

    Jean Elliot Thayer

    Jean Elliot Thayer, 89, passed away peacefully on April 11, 2018 in Ft. Myers, Florida following a brief illness. She was born to Edward J. and Elma Elliot on Aug. 15, 1928 in Thomaston, Maine where she attended high school and was captain of the girls’ basketball team. Following graduation she attended Nasson College in Springvale, Maine, majoring in nutrition. While there she met Wendell Bragg Thayer of Sanford, who in short order gave her life-long love of snow skiing.

    Born in Rockland, August 2, 1947, Geri was the daughter of Geraldine Francis Everett and her father.   She attended Rockland District High School graduating in 1965. 

    Geri married the love of her life, Charles E. York, July 2, 1966.

    CAMDEN — Barbara Ann Burton Lannamann, 89, of Camden, gently and peacefully passed away June 20, 2018 at home.  Her loving husband, Robert J. Lannamann, and four generations of family were at her side.

    Barbara, or “Babs”, as she was affectionally called, was born September 29, 1928 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.  She was the oldest of two daughters of Robert Walter and Ellen (Cotterly) Burton.

    UNION - Thelma Lee Jett, 94, of Idaho Falls, Idaho, passed away in Union, Maine on June 28, 2018, where she was living with her son and daughter-in-law Kerry and Andrea Jett.
    Thelma was born in Hartshorne, Oklahoma on March 24, 1924 to Claude Ross and Anna Leona Overcast. She was raised with five brothers in New Mexico, later moving to the panhandle of Texas where she met and married J.B. Jett in 1946.

    Rudy was born in Belfast, Maine on July 30, 1960 to Irene Suddy and Ross Carroll. He attended Searsport High School with the class of 1978, and the University of Maine, graduating in 1995 with a degree in Electrical Engineering. Rudy worked as the Director of Information Technology and Engineering at Mathews Brothers for the past 14 years.

    He is predeceased by his father Harold A. Boyer, his mother Ellen Boyer, and his brother Richard O. Boyer. He is survived by his brother Alvin E. Boyer, his sister Charlotte P. Macomber, and his daughter Molli L. McBrien-Boyer. Emory was born in Plymouth, MA on February 14, 1942.

    He was born on August 10, 1923 in Nantucket Island, Massachusetts, the son of Edward Brooks Coffin and Irene Wejemn Coffin. The youngest of three children, his older sister, June Anita Coffin Dammin, predeceased him in the 1980s and his older brother, Theron Tristam Coffin, died in 1945 in action in the Pacific during World War II.

    Timothy D. DeRosier, 58, of died peacefully at his home on June 19, 2018.  He was born in Damariscotta on June 22, 1959, the son of Lawrence and Donna (Simmons) DeRosier.  He attended Waldoboro schools.

    Timmy was a hard worker.  He started in his teens working on chicken farms.  He then went on to offshore fishing in New Bedford and also worked locally many years for David Osier of Bremen.  He later dug clams.  Timmy’s life passion was raising his son.

    Born in St. George, July 26, 1940, Gus was the son of Edward and Arlene Benner Davis.  Educated locally, he attended St. George High School.  

    On June 27, 1964 Gus married the love of his life, Gloria Jean Colpritt in Rockland.  Together they have been life-long Tenants Harbor residents.

    ST. GEORGE — Catherine Jo Hannemann died peacefully at home with her husband and two cats, after a long battle with cancer.
     
    Cathy was born on May 26, 1956 in Northampton, Massachusetts. She was the third of five children and spent her entire childhood in Belchertown, Massachusetts. A high school varsity player of field hockey, basketball and softball she always remained competitive throughout her life. Particularly in her last fight.
