    WARREN — Francis “Frank” Patrick Leary, Jr., 89, passed away December 11, 2018 in Camden, Maine after a long fight with Parkinson’s disease. He was surrounded by his loving family.

    Frank was born in Boston, Massachusetts on July 23, 1929, the son of Francis Leary and Dorothy Reed Leary. He grew up with a love for sports and with a love for family.

    Steve enjoyed fishing, baseball, golf and was notorious for causing trouble with his brothers.

    Born on October 1, 1934, on Vinalhaven, he was the son of Charles Walter and Ruth (Chandler) Philbrook, and was a graduate of Vinalhaven High School.  Geeze served in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Japan.

She was a homemaker who enjoyed sewing, quilting, gardening, and composing poetry and short stories. As an active church member, she served as a deaconess, Sunday school teacher, and Pioneer Girls scout leader.

    SOUTH THOMASTON - Andrew Flamm, an artist, polymath, loving and steadfast husband, peerless dog lover, and great friend to many, died November 23, in his home in South Thomaston, ME. He had just turned 51 the day before on Thanksgiving. He died with his wife, Michelle, by his side. Despite Andrew’s heroic battle with cancer and his fourteen months in remission, he passed away unexpectedly from complications following treatment.

    Born in Rockland, October 16, 1923, she was one of ten children born to Frank and Etta Rackliff Thompson.  Educated locally, she was a 1941 graduate of Rockland High School. 

    After graduation, Margaret married Albert Thompson, who affectionately called her ‘Maggie’.  The pair were married in Rockland where they resided all of their married life.

    Born in Gardiner on April 12, 1943, he was the son of Rodney P. and Merna (Whittier) Boynton. 

    Following graduation from Camden High School in 1961, he enlisted in the U.S. Army.  Rodney completed his basic training at Ft. Dix, NJ; graduated fourth in his class for heavy equipment training at Fort Belvoir, Virginia; then was stationed in Germany from 1962 to 1964.

    Jay (as he liked to be called) was born in Winsted, CT. on April 5, 1954 to parents John Jones and Carol Dudley Jones. 

    Jay attended schools in Connecticut and after graduation he chose to travel. He went to California and eventually came to Maine where he settled and raised his family.

    On June 21, 1974, Elsie married the love of her life Dana Gallant, and spent the next 44 years making a family and a lifetime of wonderful memories.

    She was born on January 12th, 1920 in Morrill, ME, the daughter of Lauren and Etta (Merrithew) Jackson.

    Nellie graduated from Crosby High School in 1938. She married the love of her life, Blaine Woodbury on October 9th,1940.

    In 1941 they purchased the dairy farm they ran together for nearly 64 years.

    Born in Warren, Maine, on November 20, 1937, she was the only child of Waldo and Gladys Ring.

    She attended Thomaston schools, graduating from Thomaston High School in 1956 as valedictorian.

    She married Paul Barnes in 1957, and they raised their family in Warren, Belfast, and Thomaston.

    They were married for 61 years.
