Anyone visiting Belfast, I highly recommend checking out the Rail Trail.

Not only a beautiful, picturesque pathway, but the trail offers a range of travel means, from jogging to biking to simply walking--brisk to leisurely stroll.  The path also offers wheelchair accessibility (though no motorized vehicles allowed). An excellent four season trail, that also accommodates cross-country skiing and snowshoeing.

The Rail Trail begins in downtown Belfast by the footbridge, and runs along the Passagassawakeag River to City Point, following the route of the Belfast and Moosehead Lake RR, a passenger/freight line active between late 1800s to the early 2000s.

Trail length approximately 2.3 miles.
