Nancy Perkins returns to the Cushing Public Library with Murder Most Foul — Recent Mystery Writers of the U.K., an update to her earlier introduction of the British mystery novel, one of the world’s most popular genres, in a Zoom presentation for the Cushing Public Library on Wednesday, February 22, at 6:30 p.m.
With an academic background in British History, Literature and Art History, Nancy Perkins has seen her passion for and and study of mysteries evolve into courses and presentations over the past few years at the Senior College at Belfast, where she serves as President, and elsewhere. This program will introduce a diverse group represented in the collection of the Cushing Public Library, including Ann Cleeves, Elly Griffiths, Anthony Horowitz, S.J. Parris, Ian Rankin and C.J. Sansom – each with a distinctive voice as heir to the Golden Age writers discussed in her first presentation last year.
Perkins is a Virginia native and graduate of Westhampton College of the University of Richmond, where she was taught Art History by the late Pat Farmer of Cushing, a long-time friend. Perkins has been a nonprofit fundraiser and, in addition to her role at the Senior College, she currently serves on the Board of Directors of Waterfall Arts.
