BELFAST — The Belfast Bay Watershed Coalition invites the public to a Sunrise Walk on Belfast Beach, Saturday, Dec. 10. 

Meet at the Belfast Boathouse at 6 a.m. and carpool to City Park to start this meditative ramble looking eastward into the sunrise, ending at the Boathouse, a distance of ¾ mile. Those wishing to walk back to City Park will total 1.5 miles.

Wear warm layers and shoes for the rocky beach.

BBWC’s monthly winter Harbor Bird Watch at the Belfast footbridge also happens on this day, from 8:30 - 10 a.m. Ron Harrell and Gary Gulezian will be at the footbridge with their telescopes to show people whatever birds are in the harbor area and answer questions about them. Bring personal binoculars and dress appropriately for the weather.
