CAMDEN — Merryspring Nature Center will host a program called “Nature’s Tea Party” as part of its Free Family Fridays series on Friday, August 12, at 10 a.m.
A number of common backyard and garden plants can be turned into tasty teas. This program will show children and their families how to identify and safely harvest plants that can be used to make refreshing summer drinks. Guests will be able to sample a variety of different teas made from plants growing at Merryspring.
This program is outdoors. Guests must wear weather-appropriate clothing, sturdy shoes, and be prepared to walk for one hour. In the event of rain, this program will be canceled.
Free Family Fridays will take place at Merryspring on select July and August Fridays at 10 am and are sponsored by Renys, A Maine Adventure.
