SPRUCE HEAD — After 16 months of pandemic, stress, isolation, and so much more, the Spruce Head Community Hall is now celebrating its reopening with a Bake Sale on Saturday, July 31, from 9 a.m. to noon.
“’Don't be a stranger’ has never been more’ true!” said the Hall, in a news release. “It's time to stock up on cakes, pies, cookies, bread, muffins, and other home-baked items to share with everyone who's now appearing on your doorstep to catch up and swap stories.
Stop in at the Hall on July 31, enjoy a cold or hot beverage (free), and purchase goodies to take home.
Also available at the Bake Sale will be the newly minted “Spruce Head” ball caps ($25) as well as copies of Community Hall publications: From Our Home to Yours: A Spruce Head Cookbook ($20) and Spruce Head: Selections from the Poetry of Wilbert Snow ($15).
The Spruce Head Community Hall was founded in 1922, and plans are already underway for a Centennial celebration next year.
