Event has passed

CAMDEN — Merryspring Nature Center and Knox-Lincoln Soil & Water Conservation District will begin their joint 2021 Explorer Kits Program on Wednesday, June 30, at 9 a.m., at Merryspring.

To make environmental education opportunities available to everyone during a time of social distancing and economic hardship, Merryspring Nature Center and Knox-Lincoln Soil & Water Conservation District have partnered again to bring back their Explorer Kits program for the 2021 season.

Explorer Kits are free take-home activities designed to inspire outdoor exploration and independent learning. Each Wednesday between June 30 and August 18 a different Explorer Kit will be available for pickup at Merryspring. The Kits will feature instructions, materials, and ideas best suited for children ages 4 to 9, with each week presenting a new surprise activity and theme.

A total of 30 Explorer Kits will be available each week on a first-come, first-served basis. The Explorer Kits can be picked up from a box in front of Merryspring’s Ross Center each Wednesday at 9 a.m.

Explorer Kits are free to all, but donations are accepted.

Merryspring is your community nature center offering walking trails, cultivated gardens, wildlife, and ecology and horticulture educational programs all year round. The park is located at the end of Conway Road, just off of Route 1 in Camden behind Hannaford Shopping Plaza. For more information on this program, please contact o r call 207-236-2239.
