Tickets are on sale now for a streaming multimedia performance by artist Miwa Matreyek that explores the vastly changing Earth. “Infinitely Yours” will be available March 12-18 on the Strand Theatre website. Tickets are offered at a sliding scale of $20, $10, $5, or $0, thanks to sponsorship support from Fuller Chevrolet.

Using animation, projections, and her own moving shadow, multimedia performance artist Miwa Matreyek creates magical, surreal, visually rich performances, according to the Strand, in a news release. Infinitely Yours explores global warming, the anthropocene, and the vastly changing earth.

“This piece attempts to physicalize and emotionalize the non-stop barrage of news streaming in through our screens, of environmental transformation that we can’t seem to hit pause or rewind on,” said Strand.

Matreyek takes on plastics in the oceans, deforestation, food crisis, drought, super storms and much more in a cacophony of dream-like, kaleidoscopic imagery.

This show is recommended for high school age students and adults, according to the news release.

A live GREEN ROOM: Artist Chat interview with Matreyek and special guest Lisa Pohlmann, the CEO of the Natural Resources Council of Maine, will take place on March 12, at 7 p.m., streamed from the Strand’s YouTube and Facebook pages.

In the Artist Chat, audience members will hear from Matreyek about her creative process and get a behind-the-scenes look at her show. Strand will also talk to Pohlmann about NRCM’s initiatives to combat climate change here in Maine, and learn how they can take action from home.

Viewers will have the opportunity to ask questions via the comment section on Facebook or YouTube. Viewers are welcome to watch Infinitely Yours before the Chat, but it is not required.

Running time for Infinitely Yours is 26 minutes.

Tickets are Pay-What-You-Can: $20, $10, $5, or $0. For tickets or more information, visit Strand Theatre, 345 Main Street, Rockland. (207) 594-0070, Email,
