Science of Mindfulness talk with Penny Clements

Event has passed

On Friday, March 5, from 6 - 8 p.m., Penny Clements will give a public talk entitled The Science of Mindfulness, via Zoom. The program is part of the Friday Dharma Talk Series hosted by The Dancing Elephant. It is open to the community by donation. Registration is required to receive Zoom link.

What happens to the brain when we meditate? What can modern neuroscience reveal about the ancient practice of mindfulness? Over the past 30 years, there has been a burgeoning interest in the health benefits of meditation and mindfulness. Numerous research studies show positive outcomes when these practices are used to promote well-being. Join Penny Clements for mindfulness practice, an overview of recent research, and a conversation about making friends with our mind, emotions, and body.
