The West Bay Rotary Christmas tree fundraiser is back. Christmas trees and wreaths will be available for sale at Maine Sport Outfitters, 115 Commercial Street, Rockport. The sale will run from November 27th (the day after Thanksgiving) until December 20th or until trees are all sold. The hours are: 9 am to 6 pm the day after Thanksgiving, noon to 6 pm Thursdays and Fridays, and 9 am to 6 pm weekends. An honor box is also available for after-hours sales.
Net proceeds will benefit charities and nonprofit organizations. Recent donation recipients include AIO Food Pantry, New Hope for Women, One Less Worry, Knox County Homeless Coalition, Coastal Family Hospice Volunteers, and many more.
This year, you will also be able to purchase Lucky’s Christmas Vacation raffle tickets at the tree sale fundraiser (while supplies last). Tickets are $10 each or six tickets for $50, and the winner will receive a certificate for seven nights at the Vanderbilt Beach Resort in Naples, Florida. Net proceeds from the raffle will benefit three local nonprofits that help people in need: Camden Area Christian Food Pantry, One Less Worry, and the Shields Mission Project. The raffle winner will be drawn at the Christmas tree sale on December 20th at 4 pm. Raffle tickets are available online at westbayrotaryraffle.com. Tickets are also available for sale at the Christmas tree fundraiser in Rockport, at Rockport Automotive in Rockport, and at New England Real Estate Co.in Camden. Only 1,000 tickets will be sold.
Due to COVID-19, the Christmas tree shop will not be open this year. West Bay Rotarians will all be wearing masks and customers will also be required to wear masks.
