Prophetic Tidbit – The Time to Draw Near

God rewards those who seek His face rather than our perfection (Hebrews 11:6). His eye is upon those who seek Him. As the Apostle James declared, "Draw near to Him, and He will come to you (James 4:8).  Those who are not content with religious practices shall have the desire of their heart – His fellowship.

It is not the works that we do for Him that pleases God, but the works that we do with Him. Jesus said, “If any man serves Me, let him follow Me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serves Me, to him will My Father honor (John 12:26)."

To follow Jesus and be where He is, requires that we abide His presence. Here in the place of intimacy, Jesus, the Word of God, reveals His season, timing, strategic plans, and purpose. As we unite with His heart to co-labor as one: the Kingdom of Christ is revealed on earth in the power of the Spirit. It is these followers of Christ that the Father honors.

It is the manifestation of the Spirit working in our midst that testifies that Christ has risen and is Lord of Lord’s and King of Kings. It is not our wisdom, preaching, or Biblical exhortations that move the Spirit to touch men's lives. It is the anointing of the Spirit that moves the heart of men with transformational power.  Without the testimony of Christ, all we have is traditions, religious ordinances, and activities that we call ministry, void of God's power.

As the Apostle Paul proclaimed, “For my speech, and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and power: That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God (1 Cor. 2:4-5).

Rather than seeking the honor and approval of men, let's seek first the Kingdom of God and the honor of our heavenly Father. It’s time to draw near to His Son. Our call is to rise and shine for our light has come.  Our mission is to reveal to the world the goodness, love and reality of the one true risen savior, the Lord Jesus Christ in the power and demonstration of the Spirit.
