CAMDEN — The PAWS Animal Adoption Center will be holding the Paces for Paws: Going the Social Distance 5K and Walk-A-Thon on Wednesday, June 3.

Participants can help raise money for animals in need while continuing to do their part to slow the curve, a press release stated.

All proceeds will go toward supporting PAWS with continuing to provide shelter, food, and medical attention to displaced dogs and cats in Midcoast Maine.

Those who prefer to run can register by clicking here and running a route of their choice over a distance of over mile, 5K, five miles, or 10K. Runners are able to complete their route anytime between Sunday, June 14 until Saturday, June 20.

Runners can submit their final race time to events@pawsadoption.org by June 20 for a chance at a first, second, or third place medal.

Those who prefer to walk or for those who just want to help PAWS, can collect pledges to help raise money for PAWS.

Walk-a-thon participants can register at pacesforpaws.org. Walkers who raise $100 will receive a free PAWS t-shirt and walkers who raise $250 will receive a free PAWS hoodie. All participants will receive a medal.
