UMaine Hutchinson Center to remain closed to the public until further notice
Belfast, Maine — Due to ongoing public health concerns related to the COVID-19 pandemic and Gov. Janet Mills’ guidelines, the UMaine Hutchinson Center remains closed until further notice. The Hutchinson Center summer registration is open and most summer courses will be offered online or remote format, including some professional development programs.
Students who need assistance registering for classes should contact interim director, Kim Wilson-Raymond, 207.338.8034; email@example.com. The Hutchinson Center staff is also available to assist students without internet access through the scholarship process. After moving all live classes to remote instruction, the University of Maine System has implemented several measures to mitigate the impact of COVID-19 disruptions, including a pass/fail option. More information is available here.
Hutchinson Center staff will continue to offer support to students to successfully complete their coursework by connecting them to remote resources. Those who need assistance rescheduling or who would like further information can contact the Hutchinson Center staff, who are working remotely.
At this time, the Hutchinson Center remains closed to the public and is not offering public WiFi access. All events scheduled in May are canceled or postponed, including conferences, meetings and professional development programs (unless being offered online). Live classes previously scheduled in May will move to a remote format.
Given the unpredictability of the coronavirus situation, this is subject to change. The Hutchinson Center will continue to monitor the situation and provide ongoing updates on its website. For questions, please contact the Hutchinson Center staff, 207.338.8000; firstname.lastname@example.org.
