SPRUCE HEAD — Tools and toys, books and bowls, crafts and curios will be just a few of the items featured at the First Annual Multifamily Flea Market on Saturday, August 24, at the Spruce Head Community Hall and
Historical Association, Village Road, Spruce Head. The market will be open from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. (no early sales), and baked goods will also be for sale.
Also available will be the Community Hall’s publications, Spruce Head: Selections from the Poetry of Wilbert Snow and From Our Home to Yours: A Spruce Head Cookbook.
Built on donated land in the village center, the shingled Community Hall has been extensively upgraded in the last four years—thanks to generous grants and contributions—and events can now be held throughout the year.
Thanks to the organization’s original bylaws, lifetime membership remains at 50 cents. Planning is already underway for a gala celebration of the association’s Centennial in 2022.
