CAMDEN — On Wednesday, Aug. 28, at noon, in the Camden Public Library, Rachel Keefe, field epidemiologist with the Maine Center for Disease Control and Prevention, will present on influenza and local outbreaks in Maine.
The presentation is sponsored by the Midcoast Medical Reserve Corps. MMRC seeks volunteers throughout the state to help reinforce their public health and healthcare systems, and to prepare local areas for disasters and emergencies of all types. The organization welcomes community members with logistics and administrative talents as well as volunteers with the skills of licensed medical professionals. Those who enjoy helping neighbors will have the opportunity to learn more about volunteering with Maine Responds and the Midcoast Medical Reserve Corps.
