UNION — Join Appleton resident Jim McKenna as he recounts his summit climb of Mount Rainier, the most glaciated peak in the contiguous U.S.A., according to Vose Library, in a news release.
This presentation is the final Armchair Adventure Series, and takes place Wednesday, May 15, at 6:30 p.m., at Vose Library.
McKenna's talk will include a collection of photos from his successful summit bid in addition to stores and photos of this training and preparation for the climb.
He will share his stories from the trail, and stories of the mountain itself.
His talk will transport the audience to the beauty and the enormity of this spectacular mountain, according to Vose Library, in the release.
“Whether you've thought of climbing the mountain yourself, or you are just in need of a good armchair adventure, this talk will have you dreaming,” Vose said.
Snacks and conversation to follow in the main lobby.
