Camden Garden Club presents: New foundation gardens

CAMDEN —  Irene Brady Barber will talk about new foundation gardens as part of the Winter Horticulture Series presented by Camden Garden Club. The lecture takes place at the Camden Public Library, Tuesday, Feb. 19, at 10 a.m.

Barber is a horticulture therapist and landscape designer from Durham, working at both Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens and her own company, Irene Brady Barber Greenscape Design. 

She is known for her ability to understand difficult landscape environments and create successful plant combinations that perform, according to a Camden Garden Club news release.

Barber was named the Young Nursery Professional of the Year by the Maine Landscape and Nursery Association in 2014.

The weekly Winter Horticulture Series is free and open to the public and will continue on Tuesdays throughout February. Guests and prospective members are always welcome.
