Midcoast Women presents ‘Working Across the Aisle’ panel discussion

Event has passed

ROCKPORT - The Midcoast Women Collective Voices series presents "Working Across the Aisle," Wednesday, February 13, from 6:30 p.m. to 7:45 p.m.at the Rockport Opera House. The Rockport Public Library is a co-sponsor of this event.

We often hear politicians calling upon their colleagues "to put away our differences and work across the aisle.” But does it ever really happen, especially in the recent years of our highly charged partisan environment?

Join us for a bipartisan panel of current and past legislators who served together in the 127th and 128th legislature when they share stories about working across the aisle including why they do it and what it takes to surmount the obstacles and get the job done. The Featured Storytellers include Representative Pinny Beebe-Center, the Honorable Ellie Espling, Senator Erin Herbig, and the Honorable Joyce Maker. The one-hour storytelling event will be followed by Q&A moderated by Pam Maus, co-founder of Midcoast Women.

Midcoast Women provides opportunities for area women of all ages to find and strengthen our individual and shared voices.

The Collective Voices series is free and open to the public.
