The Adventure of First Grade: Tour and Talk at Ashwood Waldorf School
Event has passed
On Wednesday, February 13, from 8:15 a.m. - 10:30 a.m., Ashwood Waldorf School will host a tour and talk for those interested in learning more about how reading, writing and arithmetic are taught in a Waldorf first grade. The tour will give visitors an opportunity to see our current first grade class in-session. After the tour, there will be a participatory, hands-on demonstration of Waldorf methods, followed by a question and answer session. Whether you are a parent, grandparent, guardian, college or high school student, teacher, health care professional, or simply an interested community member, please join us for this window into the Waldorf first grade.
Every morning, in more than 1,000 Waldorf schools worldwide, the day begins with a dynamic, interactive main lesson, where academic subjects come to life through storytelling, movement, experimentation, and the arts. Come see Waldorf in action!
Spaces are limited; advance registration is required: info@ashwoodwaldorf.org or 207.236.8021. All are welcome! Free of charge.
