BELFAST— Penobscot Shores’ Enrichment Series for older adults will conclude its Summer/Fall programs of 2018 with a “Talk and Tasting: Ducktrap River of Maine” on Wednesday, November 14 from 11 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. at Penobscot Shores.
Ducktrap River of Maine considers smoking seafood an art and their HR manager, Jim Philbrook, will explain why in this illustrated talk. Enjoy the unique opportunity to take a behind-the-scenes look at the many aspects of Ducktrap River’s smoking process. Learn about their history and their passion while sampling the products that have made them famous in Maine and across the country.
Established in 1978, this all-natural seafood smokehouse in Mid-coast Maine has become legendary for its premium-grade seafood smoked exclusively with native Maine fruitwoods and hardwoods, custom brining and traditional smoking techniques.
