Youth Arts residency with Terri Harper Ralston at Camden Hills Regional High School

    Interested students at Camden Hills Regional High School are encouraged to attend the upcoming Youth Arts residency that will be presented by hair/makeup artist Terri Harper Ralston.

    The series of classes will begin Wednesday, Dec. 6 from 3 to 4:30 p.m. in the school's Black Box Theater. The first session will focus on "Fantasy Makeup." Future sessions will be December 13 ("Cartoon Character Faces"), January 3 ("Prosthesis and Latex"), January 10 ("Prosthesis and Latex 2"), January 17 ("Character Makeup").

    Interested students should contact Rick Ash (rick.ash@fivetowns.net) to sign up or just show up for the first session.

    Ralston attended the Fashion Institute of Design and has an extensive resume of more than 20 years in film, ballet, opera and musical theater makeup/hair design. She worked with the Camden Hills theater department since Beauty and the Beast (2008).

    Founded in 1973, Youth Arts is a nonprofit, all-volunteer organization whose mission is to provide arts enrichment to the Five Town CSD and the Camden Rockport K-8 schools through residencies, workshops, mini-grants and performances. Through Youth Arts' generosity, the Camden Hills theater department previously has offered workshops in lighting design (2002) and the art of scene painting (2008)
