The Jackson Memorial Library, in Tenants Harbor, is hosting world-traveler and photographer Carla Skinder on Tuesday, May 18, at 2 p.m., via Zoom.

“She has traveled here, there, and not quite everywhere and is putting together videos and photos to pique your innermost curiosities,” said the Library, in a news release.

Skinder grew up in Natick, Massachusetts, graduating from NHS in 1969. She worked at the New England Aquarium from 1971 to 1981... from there she went to Simmons and graduated as an RN. Later on Skinder returned to school and received a Master’s in Public Health concentrating in international health. Skinder is now retired living in Saint George.

“For those that feel a bit sleepy around 2, no worries for Carla will wake you up quickly!” said JML.
