ROCKLAND — ‘Woodstock 50th Anniversary: A multimedia reminiscence with Ellen Sander and Neal Harkness’ will take place in the Abbott Room of the Belfast Free Library, Tuesday July 30, at 6:30 p.m.
Woodstock, officially known as the “Woodstock Music and Art Fair: An Aquarian Exposition,” took place August 15-18, 1969, at Max Yasgur’s farm in Bethel, N.Y., and became a world-famous cultural touchstone we are still talking about to this day, according to Belfast Free Library, in a news release.
August 2019 marks the 50th anniversary of Woodstock.
Join Ellen Sander, Belfast poet, pioneering rock journalist, and author of TRIPS: Rock Life in the Sixties, and Neal Harkness, former radio music programmer and aficionado of rock ‘n roll history, for an interactive look back to the summer of 1969 and the Woodstock Music and Arts Fair.
All are welcome, audience participation encouraged.
